Lauren has been teaching group exercise/ rehabilitation exercise classes for over 15 years. Having completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at La Trobe University in 2003, Lauren worked both locally in Melbourne and in England as a Physiotherapist.
Lauren returned to Melbourne to complete several DMA courses in Clinical Pilates before moving to Brisbane to work with Studio Pilates International. Here she worked with a diverse caseload of both injured clients and Olympic Athletes. Lauren was also involved with creating course content for their instructor courses which now operate worldwide.
In late 2009, Lauren accepted an opportunity to return home to Eltham to work in prominent Physiotherapy practices where she was able to combine her Physiotherapy knowledge, passion for exercise prescription and Pilates experience into her sessions.
Lauren has a wealth of anatomical and biomechanical knowledge and experience. She is an expert in Clinical Pilates having personally taken thousands of clients through Pilates workouts for rehabilitation, sports performance and general fitness and toning.
Alarna has excelled in her professional dance career, with national and international tours under her belt. She has 7 years of experience teaching children as young as 3 up to adults in ballet, jazz and contemporary style dance.
Throughout her teaching career, Alarna has always had a focus on encouraging an awareness and understanding of the physical nature of dance, promoting the importance of longevity and prevention of injuries.
Alarna’s passion for a healthy understanding of the body lead her to pursue a teaching career in Pilates. She recently completed her Certificate in Anatomy, Matwork and Reformer Pilates through Studio Pilates International. She then furthered her skills and training through a short course with Pilates Republic.
Alarna is thrilled to be part of the expansion of Reform Eltham into our new studio and she can’t wait to carry on her passion of Pilates through to her clients.
Brooke has over a decade of experience teaching dance to children and adults of all ages and experience levels in both a prominent Eltham dance school and local schools. Brooke has found her passion lies within teaching where she takes great pride in passing on her own knowledge and experience to others. Her extensive dance experience leads to her placing great importance on correct technique and execution of all exercises to achieve the desired outcome.
Brooke is a multi-national award- winning dance choreographer winning ‘National Choreographer of the year’ in 2019 for AASCF. She has also won x 8 – 1st place national routines for her dancers since 2016. Brooke has also personally qualified twice for the USASF dance worlds in Hip Hop in both 2016 (placing 8th) and 2018 (placing 4th).
Brooke originally started out as a client at Reform Eltham and noticed almost immediately the benefits it had on her body and identifying muscle imbalances caused by years of dancing. She knows first- hand the benefits that Pilates has on injury prevention, improving strength and longevity in any chosen sport at both a club and elite level.
Brooke is excited to continue with her Pilates teaching in our brand new fitness studio.
